We are looking for SSEN-authorised Cable Jointers with expertise in LV, 11kV, and 33kV distribution networks. Location

This is a site/field-based role, providing HV & LV power supplies across the country, based from our North East Office.

Responsibilities

As an Authorised Cable Jointer, you will install cable jointing and deliver a flexible and rapid response service to various utility and private clients. The role will include:

• Working on development sites and the public highway
• Understanding utility plans and setting yourself and others to work
• Undertaking cable jointing and network energisation activities
• Working on PILC (Paper Insulated Lead Covered) cables
• High-quality workmanship with a proven safety record

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for experienced Cable Jointers who have the following qualifications and experience:

• Proven experience in a utilities Cable Jointing role
• Current or recently expired DNO Authorisation
• A can-do attitude and the ability to be a self-starter
• Experience with live mains jointing and new connections
• Ability to work on PILC cables
• Possession of an NRSWA operative card
• Possession of an ESUR - CSCS card
• Full UK driving license and a willingness to travel
